I have installed the MySQL-3.23.38-1.i386.rpm version of mysql using the "rpm -ivh MySQL-3.23.38-1.i386.rpm" command.
Everyting went fine, it finished installation and displayed a message saying change root password using "/usr/bin/mysqladmin ......" but "mysqladmin" command does not exist.

anyone have any idea why i have not got this command?

I have installed the client aswell.

I run redhat 7

A had same problem. I install many software after it, but I think, that you have to install MySQL client or MySQL devel packages. It is intresto for me too, so please tell if you resolve this problem anyway.
