Red Hat 7.1 Xserver

I there i have just installed RH 7.1 on my laptop and i runs great, there is just one small problem....
whenever shutting down the x-server, all i see is some blury colors instead of the terminal.
My grafik device is a silicon motion sm710 Lynx agp
before i had Mandrake 7.2 installed, and there i had no problem.

1) figure out which X version/driver it had before u put DeadRat on ure laptop :-]
2) Have look here, maybe u need some extra parameters set in ure XF86config like NoAccel or so.
