RH 7.0 - Dialup

I've setup RH7.0 workstation, I'm trying to connect to ISP. So I've configured the PPP dialer.

The problem is that the remote server disconnects me after the handshaking process. Although the login name and the password are correct.

Knowing that the accounts is active with other OS's.

Is it some thing regarding the modem drive, authentication, or something else?

A lot of people have problems with the redhat tool.

I suggest using wvdial, very simple.

Type man wvdial and man wvdialconf to find out how it works.

Then you just run wvdial from a terminal and when you want it to go down just <ctrl>-c on that terminal.

Cheers

daemon.* /var/log/ppp-log
etc/rc.d/inid.d restart syslog
