Cannot install RedHat v6.0 on machine

Yes, I know... linux v6.0?

I have to install RedHat v6.0 and not a later version.

Symptom: Inserted install disk, and machine hangs
when reading hardware config for installation.

I went to RedHat V6.0 Errata. It says that there are new boot.img, etc to download at their ftp site. All I see are rpms. Where can I get the *.img's?

you say install disk, like in floppy? can you boot to cd-rom? if so, try that if you haven't already, that is if you have the cd-rom and was not going to do a ftp or network install.

I have the standard Linux v6.0 CD. That was the installation "disk".

I had a bit of a problem getting connected to Rhat ... but... I finally downloaded them to my secondary computer.

Unfornately, it will be a couple of days before I will be able to try out the new images. I've got lots of unit & integration testing to do.
