Question U.S. Robotics Courier V.Everything Version 34 in Redhat 6.1

HELP I have an External Courier V.Everything version 34, which I think is from Canada. I am trying to get it to dial in to my ISP. The closest thing I have been able to get to happen is it sends a message saying that it is already online. I NEED HELP. I have read the Modem How-To, but very little makes since.
