Question gnotepad+ small problem

Hi all,

I installed GNOME from RedHat Linux 6.2 on my laptop.
Instead of using all the hard-to-remember commands of vi, I have started to use GNOTEPAD+.

To people like me who is not experienced in linux, GNOTEPAD+ is great. However, I got a small problem. Whenever I save a document, there is always a popup window saying:

"Could not create backup!"

I checked the backup directory in GNOTEPAD+ and it is pointing to a directory which allows all r/w/x access already.

What could be wrong?

JL

what directory is it pointing to? have you tried another directory or create a new one for the purpose? you could give that a shot.
