Hi,

While compiling kernel 2.2.16 we encountered error in the file /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/lib/checksum.S
The following errors was displayed.
make -C arch/i386/lib

checksum.s:231:badly punchuated parameter list in #define.
checksum.s:237:badly punchuated parameter list in #define.
make(2):***[checksum.o] Error 1
make(1):***[first_rule] Error 2
make:***[_dir_arch/i386/lib] Error 2

We are stuck and we cannot proceed any further.plz can anybody help us.we tried to alter somethings in the #define's at line 231 and 237 of checksum.S but didnt get through.plz reply to it as soon as possible.
