Actualy I have two questions here.

1. I have just install RedHat (seawolf) 7.1 on my laptop
dualbooting with win2000. it automaticaly installed LILO as a boot manager ( wich is fine with me) but I want to modify the the boot so the pc boots into windows by defolt not linux. I have tryed to modify Lilo.cnfg but if I do it from the VI I get the file is readonly use "!" to override and all is loked up for several seconds and then nothing. nothing is modified . if I go via graphical util in x windows I get an error when clikcing aply saying that the LILO is not ok blah blah blah and again nothing happen.
Question is what I am doing wrong and how to fix it.

2. I am learning C programming now.
I have a small program as a homework. I know the program works since I tryed it on a Unix system with no problem.
and when I run ' cc prg.c ' at the $ prompt I am getting a.out file no errors . but when I want to run it I am getting error " bush: a.out: command not found.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks in advanced.

OK...

Are you editing /etc/lilo.conf as root? It not then you will want to! If you are running as root then chmod the file to 600, although this shouldn't be necessary. Remember to run the 'lilo' after editing the file!

As for the a.out execution... You will need to run
Code:
./a.out
as the currently directory obviously isn't in your path.

HTH

Jamie...
