Hi,

I saved my php file on /var/www/html/ and it was failed to use netscape to view it at http://localhost/test.php.

A pop-up window shows:

Netscape is unable to locate the server localhost and pls check your server name.

Why?

I used LAN to view web page. I set this linux redhat 7 machine as 192.168.0.3 and the gateway as 192.168.0.1.

Will it be related?

Thanks

gogo

Hi,

I tried 127.0.0.1, 192.168.0.3, localhost and linux01 (host name). All did not work.

It showed that the connection was refused by netscape.

Why?

Thanks

Are the machines listed in /etc/hosts, and is it your firewall?

Thanks for help.

I solved the problem now. I set the etc/hosts/

But, I forgot to set the hostname in netscape under proxy.

Thanks
