OK check this out....

I was in XWindows upon boot-up mode, an' while I was logged in as root, I went to Drake Config and selected the option: DO NOT BOOT X WINDOWS DURING START-UP (or something 2 that effect)

How do I turn X-windows upon boot-up back on?????
I have X-windows back on, but I did it by re-booting Drax-install and Using expert user to reconfig the Monitor Settings.
I know there is an easier way than this.

Thanx.

Look for the file /etc/inittab. In this file you should have a line that looks like
Quote:
id:3:initdefault:
The 3 will boot into multiuser mode. Change the 3 to a 5 and you will boot into X.

X is the windowing system for Linux (the GUI). It is what interfaces with programs like KDE, Gnome, and Window Maker (otherwise known as window managers/desktop environments).
