Where can I get good informatin about pppd. I'm looking to connect a Linux RH7.1 to a WinBox and transfer a file, streaming(big file, long distance). Boss wants ppp. So I've been looking all over for info. Got tons of info on connecting and disconnecting, how ppp works(connecting and disconnecting) but nothing about what's in between.

Is this just where I can send a bunch of sockets over the phone line according to my specs? Please yes.

If not, Where can I look to get good info on what kind of command line/shell scripts I can give to pppd?

-About the sig. It's a dream.

Hi..

Read PPP Howto. It will be very useful.
If u are dialing to MS NT u have to use MS CHAP. Then only it will authenticate. SOme time u have to get the ppp source code and recompile to enable MS CHAP authentication
