If you want to try something REALLY slick, head on over to:

and get your hands on this distro. You can simply boot from the disk and have Linux running without having to go through disk partitioning or LILO. According to the site this will run over numerous operating systems. I got mine to work first time running over Window$ 98 Second Erruption.
This makes a great portable Linux solution!
