Hello,
does any body have any knowledge is postgresql and startingting it automaticaly?

i have upgraded from psql 6.x.x to 7.0.3, (using the source this where you have to do ./configure gmake etc...), and cannot get it to autostart when the machine is switched on
the install document this says mess abount with some rc.d file ? but i dont know what the hell its goinging on about

i had some script from a third party (cant remember where) that does it for you but it has cocked the old (6.x.x) startup file up and just displays the postmaster command line syntax

please can some one help me
