ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. ok i feel better now.
im writing a cgi program(a message board) in perl that interacts with a mysql db... that part is fine.. i can run the program from the console and the records get added, deleted, and viewed with no problem.. when i try to run it from my site, it diaplays all entries that i put in to the db manually and also all the entries from the times i ran the program from the console.. but when i try to submit my form i always get error 500, EXCEPT FOR ONE TIME WHEN IT WORKED, thats the worst part, it worked once, i changed no code, now it doesnt... i dont know, ive been writing code forever(almost) and this is the craziest thing ive seen.. its really stumping me.. now ive tried this every way i can think of.. all my permissions are straight the perl and sql are easy, im just wondering if my browser is caching somthing its not supposed to be.. i dont know.. ANY IDEAS? i will listen to anything(just about!)..
heres a request, if someone could post a simple cgi program in perl that takes in a couple fields, and just prints the info out on another page.... i am using the CGI module and using param->(.....) to get the form info, so if you could write it in that it would help.. and i will try your script on my server and see what happens....
ps. dont forget to use the code tags on the board
