I am running Slackware 7.1 with kernal 2.2.16

When I start X, everything runs fine... I have already ran the xf86config and configured everything properly. When I run startx everything runs fine (Gnome over Enlightenment) but when I quit x windows, by clicking Logout, or Ctrl-alt-Bkspace. It gives me a black screen... The computer is still on, because I can reboot, bye pushing ctrl-alt-delete, but It is like it turns the video off...

Any help would be appretiated...

Maybe you can better ask this at the slackware forum, or search it. There's a lot of good info there. And you forgot to mention which video card you're using.
