Hi,juganut.
What distribution and version are you using?
Who is your ISP?
Are you using Gnome or KDE?
Ive only used kppp to get a dialup connection. With that app,in addition to the stuff you entered in linuxconf,I also needed the ISP's dns addresses,I had to contact Earthlink to obtain this information.HTH

I have only used Kppp and it needed all the DNS and other stuff entered in to work properly. Sometimes depending on your ISP, you might have to enter your full email address instead of your username to connect.
Linuxconf is only the configuration utility though, you should use the Kppp or any of the GNOME dial up tools to connect now.

ugh.

yeh, and if you use msn, you have to do something like "MSN/username" to login... That's bit some people in the butt before...

There are scripts out there that you can run from CLI that will connect... I didn't need to know much about my host, except the DNS servers..
