Does anyone know how to configure a usb modem to connect to the internet in Mandrake 8.0?

Its an Alcatel speedstream ADSL modem. (USB)

Last time I checked it out, I think from http://www.linux-usb.org, a usb driver for external modems was still in the works. There is however a driver called pegasus i think that seems like it would work or someone might be able to get it to work. You can find a lot of your usb and linux needs at that web site though.
