Unhappy

Hi. I am a newbie and am trying to set up my NIC. I had it working with mandrake once upon a time, and then I deleted mandrake. For the network config thing, It needs an IRQ and an I/O. Since this is a plug n play card, how do I find this info?

Thankyou.
Chyp.

Good luck, for some reason, Redhat 7.0 does not like that card. It uses the tulip driver and for some reason, I have the same card, I could never get it working in RedHat 7.0. You might want to try Redhat 6.2. During the installation it detected it and installed it from there. Working fine after installation.

allrite.. I will try that. I hope it works. Is there really any difference between 6.2 and 7.0?

I guess I'll find out!

Thanx.

All I know of is a newer kernel release, a lilo boot mapo instead of typing it in differently, inetd.conf changing to xinet.d, and few other things like updated drivers and applications, but I see to like 6.2 way better than 7.0. I am still waiting on a newer version now, so I can skip past 7.0 on to a better release.
