Question

Which is the best Mandrake 7.2 or 8.0

I use since 2 weeks Mandrake 8.0 (i'm a Linux newbie) so I had many problems
- Microsoft Optical mouse
- nvidia tnt2 32 mo video card
- after pc reset the os never reboot
- after changing my mouse in mandrake control center no mouse at after reboot

So my question is : Mandrake 7.2 is it more stable ?

If the answer is yes where can i get an .ISO image
I tried this 2 url but nothing work or no .ISO found

Thank's

Hello,
I have a Microsoft Optical mouse(the white and grey one) and it works perfectly (with ps2 adapter) In any distro.

Mandrake 8.0 worked nice for me, it let me select generic wheel mouse and it even let me use the scroll!!!!

As for my video card I have a geforce 2 mx which uses the same drivers as you..This is a good card and has full support under mandrake 8.0 (gotta love xfree86 4.0.3)

also you might want to check your motherboard because if you reboot your computer and it doesnt come back up, your motherboard might be having problems.

I have tried both 7.2 and 8.0 and i recommened 8.0
