Hi, I'm running Slackware 7.1 and I have a D-Link DFE530TX 10/100MPS Ethernet Card (PCI)..

I KNOW it uses the via-rhine module since that's what it was when I used Mandrake, but now it won't work in Slackware..

When I do "insmod via-rhine" it won't install? It says something like "mod_init Device or resource busy Hint this maybe caused by incorrect module parameters including incorrect I/O or IRQ numbers"?

Does anyone know how I can solve this? Also, how can I define the IRQ and the I/O number(s) when I do insmod?

Try this site with the Ethernet howto, it gives some insight to some troubleshooting the ethernet card.
