Hi,
Accidentally I have changed the ownership from the root dir (/) to a different user of the same group.
eg. on '/' I did : chown -R xuser:root .
Now, I am not even able to login /su as root.
It says, 'su: cannot set groups: Operation not permitted'
Also I am unable to change the ownership back to root on any files/directory.
Can anybody help me with suggestions to revert back to the default ownership on all.
thanks in advance,
