Question

Ok. On to my next sendmail question. Sendmail seems to take quite a while to get the mail out. This machine that it's on is a network monitoring machine, so it's really important that it get the mail out FAST. It's connected to a LAN and to the internet throught that LAN via Proxy (MS Proxy 2.0 - I know, I don't have a choice). What are somethings I can configure/look for to make it deliver faster, or send the mail to our internet mail machine and let that machine deliver them?

To kind of map it out
NetMon machine -> LAN -> Proxy -> InetMail machine -> deliver

instead of

NetMon machine -> LAN -> Proxy -> deliver

Thanks,

If sendmail is started (say from a runlevel script) with -q1h itll go into the background and process the queue once per hour, so -q15m is per 15 mins.
U can also start another instance with just -q and itll process the queue and exit. Good for cron jobs.
