I am trying to make a Bootdisk to better understand the linux boot process. My bootdisk gets to the login screen, but when I try to login as root, it gives me an error. Complains it can't find "Login.defs". Now I know if you want a simple configuration the system can do without login.defs. But how do I tell my bootdisk that?
Thanks in advance.

Boot-disks can be quite difficult. But they are fun to make. What disto are you using? It you're experienced you can create the Slackware bootdisks, they're pretty good. Or if you want to make your own go to:
http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Bootdisk-HOWTO/index.html
http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/From-P...mpt-HOWTO.html
You realy learn a lot there.
