I have a problem playing UT on RedHat 7.1, i dont know if the problems comes from the new Xfree 4.03 or the improved glibc but maybe it comes from another problem i havent figured out, this makes me crazy trying since 4 weeks to get working, ARGH!.I Have the newest NVIDIA Driver 0.769.Ok i get a core dumped error everytime i try to start UT:

Xlib: extension "NV-GLX" missing on display ":0.0"
Signal: SIGSEV [segmentation fault]
Aborting
Exiting
Name Subsystem shutting down
Allocation checking disabled
core dumped .

Anyone knows a workaround or maybe a good link how to manipulate the Xlib to add the screen manually.thanks for helping ...

Theres a file /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
Scroll 3/4's of the way down for the driver info in quotes marked "nv" add the rest of the name in the driver to "nvidia" Also make sure at the top of the file u have a refference to glx.Thats what fixed me up thanks to a guy on the tribes 2 site.

There is a new vision Nvidia driver (v1.0) available at Nvidia web site which work fine for my Kernel 2.4 & Xfree86 4.0.3 Hope this help

nvidia has a new driver out for linux, v0.95 or 96... i can't remember offhand.

but, for your immediate problem, you need to have this in your XF86Config file (the "modules" section)

Modules
load "glx"
load "extmod" #you might not need this line on red hat
EndSection

that should take care of the glx error. but be sure to download the new nvidia driver. the installation readme is pretty decent, and the driver's been working great on my suse. www.opengl.org has a pretty good forum for the nvidia driver if you'd like to check that out.
