I was wondering if anyone knows of any great firewalls for home use that are compatible under Linux? Or can most firewall hardware be configured from a browser? I am not familiar with them.

I know I could use Linux to configure one, but I perfer to use hardware than software and system overhead.

Well, on my cable modem, I use to use a Linksys cable/dsl router that was also a firewall. It worked great and was really easy to setup. I am not sure of any particular other but know they are out there.
Software wise, yeah you can use or configure Linux but there is also Smoothwall, goto http://www.smoothwall.org. I thought it had some great looking features as it is almost its own operating system to turn any old or unused PC into a firewall.

Looks good that Smoothwall, but If you don't really like to download 23MB check out http://www.freesco.org/ that is a single floppy firewall which cuts down your download size to just 1.4MB

It basicly supports the same as Smoothwall but is build on a 2.0.38 kernel (to be fitted on a floppy) and has lots of add-on packages to give your firewall some extra's
