Iam an application programmer and Iam toying with the idea of moving into systems...like writing drivers, admin stuff, etc, on linux...Of course I have a huge learning curve before I can actually make the switch.
Like you, Iam exploring opportunities in linux. That way I can work on something that really interests me and get paid for what I like doing! You might want to try the job sites like monster.com and dice.com and search for linux jobs to get an idea about the quantity and quality($) of opportunities. At least thatz where I looked around to get an idea.
