Came across a post here at linuxquestions.org where someone ended their "help" with like "give me root access and Ill fix it".

You should NOT give an outsider root or group wheel access to ure box cuz this will give em a fat chance to I. snafu without holding back (rm -rf * anyone?) II. copy ure passwords & stuff III. backdoor ure box for later use.

If they really want to help feed 'em what they need tru mail.
