If i have a problem in windows such as my machine not shuttin down properly should this affect redhat as it wont shut down either or is that the way red hat shuts down(by manually pressing the power button)My hard drive is a partitionless partition.

And if i get my settins wrong in configurin x upon install will this pose problems for me later as i think i have come across a error.

I think it all depends, I have one of my machines shutdown automatically while using Redhat, then I have another that won't using Slackware same type of Motherboard and all. Never really bothered with it though, but I don't know for sure. But my Linux machines I never rarely need to shutdown.
