Help! I cant get any of my mice to work!
I have Mandrake version... um.. I forgot =) 6.1 or .2 maybe. I have the following mice-
Serial Genius EasyMouse, a Serial Dexxa mouse (3button, but the middle button is just the other two together. Has a logitek chip inside) and a Logitek Wingman USB force feedback mouse.

When I install it, the installer claims to be unable to detect a mouse. No matter what I set it to, the mouse simply does not work. As far as I know, the serial ports are fine as are the mice and cables/connectors. The power/usb indicator on the USB mouse doesnt light up at all. (and yes, USB is enabled in BIOS).

I wouldn't mind so much if I actually had a copy of windoze ninteyhate, or 2expensive cos at least then I could play heavey gear II... (incidentally, is a game requireing directX6 likley to operate under WINE?)

Seems to me you need a later version of Mandrake with USB support or download the latest kernel. That's if I am not mistaken and you have a mouse connected via USB.

Only my USB is connected via USB (of course =) The other two are standard USART/RS232 serial mice. ANY version of mandrake should be able to detect them. Also the version I have has many devices in /dev/usb/ including usbmouse0. The list of mice includes 'USB mouse' and 'USB mouse (more than 3 buttons)' so I dont think there's a problem there.
The only thing I can think of is that I killed my mobo when I installed it, but this seems highly unlikely as everything else works hunkydorily.
