I am attempting to install a Linksys EtherFast LANmodem 56K (PCMLM56)on my laptop using Red Hat 7.1. PCMCIA services are installed and run at startup. The card was not detected during the installation process. Networking is enabled. I do not have a driver for this card, but isn't the tulip driver on Redhat? Is there something in etc/rc.d/rc.3.d I need to be doing? I am new at this (can't you tell) and I'm running out of strategies. Any help would be appreciated.

if you go run 'netconf' and check out the tab for eth0.. there should be a drop down box for 'kernel modules'... the tulip driver should be on that list... just select it and make sure everything else on that page is configured for your machine... then restart the networking with...

service network --full-restart

that should do it..
