I get an error that ppp0 had died unexpectedly when I try to dial-up with a kpp dialer. I think I need to have ppp0 load on start up but don't know how. Are there any files I should check or add too?? What may be the problem? Thanks in advance

you don't have to load the ppp connection on startup to have it work properly. check if your pppd version is the same as mentioned in the kernel documentation which should reside in /usr/src/linux/Documentation. If it is the right version, check your ISP's network settings and post relevant info like ppd errors from /var/log/messages.

* There is no such thing as too much info. Don't automatically assume everyone has your distro, kernel, hardware, application and can grep your /proc /etc /var/log from ESP :-]
