Unfortunately "How do I setup a DNS server and a webserver" is really too broad of a question to answer well. What are you having a problem with? Most linux installs go something like:
1) ./configure --options
2) make
3) make install

If you have gotten past this and need some help with the configuration please post some specifics and someone will be happy to help.

I've got it all installed but I can't make any sense of the configuration files such as /etc/hosts or the web server files such as httpd.conf. The How-To's dont give me any idea of how or what is suppost to be in these file, simply as I cant make sense of them. And I cant find any For Dummys books (or afford them) on the subject. If you can help, could you tell me whats what in a for dummys book style.

Thanks

If you are using .. like RH dist .. well .. the standard conf would do just fine to start with .. for the web server annyway..

If it doesn't do .. well . the files use to be prety well commented .. so it shouldn't bee to hard to figure out how to change it to fitt your needs

btw .. found a nice url ..
