i have downloaded 2 files 4 Seti@home and they are both tar files and i dont understand if i need both files and how 2 unpack them and install them. all the docs on tar files i have found dont give me the actual hands on i need 2 understand this .it would be highly appreciated if somebody could give some help/info on this

To untar a file just type "tar -zvf filename.tar". If the file is also gzipped (file.tar.gz) then type "tar -zxvf filename.tar.gz".
