I'm pretty sure my network card is working right, here's what ifconfig -a returns :

I'm trying to connect to my @home cable service. In windows, all I need to specify is my hostname given to me by my isp (cx.....-a) and set dchp to on in the bindings for my card. I'm trying to do the equivalent here in netconf.
This links to a screen grab of my Netconf screen:

When I accept these changes I get a dialog prompting me if I want to restart networking on eth0. When I say yes, the command times out.
I'm dual booting Windows 2000 and Mandrake. My internet connection works fine in windows.
Can someone please help me fix this ??
