I just got a 30 day license to Zend Cache and am trying it out. It works with the Zend optimizer, so the php page is optimized and then put into memory. Does anyone notice a difference??

Thumbs up

Hi jeremy,

I am accessing linux questions from behind a proxy server and on a dial up (some people like poor me have to work in the most trying conditions )
I dont know if its because of the zend cache of whatever but linuxquestions IS fast .. and I like that a lot

Thanks for such a wonderful forum

Jeremy, yes the cache for some reason does make the site seem quicker, even when I access it from home. Is it going to be a permanant fixture?

Unfortunately probably not. My demo ran out 3 days ago and the product is $1500. Have you noticed a slowdown in the last few days?

I haven't really noticed any slowdown too much, but it isn't flying as much as it was. Having said that, for me the time to get pages up it perfectly fine, better than sometimes trying to get a page in the UK!

I really didn't see a slow down, but I never really saw it any faster though, maybe if I was on dialup it would have made a difference.
