for the ppl giving pointers to http://www.linuxdocs.org (the Howto Project) IMHO http://www.linuxdoc.org (Linux Documentation Project) seems better maintained & is searchable.
I thought the linuxdocs.org just point directly to the main howto list from linuxdoc.org. But yeah, I always start out at linuxdoc.org, cause their search function works extremely well.
