IS IT BETTER FOR A SMALL NETWORK TO SET UP THE FIREWALL THRU LINUXCONF ON REDHAT 7.0 OR TO SET UP THE IPCHAINS SCRIPT MANUALLY? WHATS MORE EFFECTIVE

PLESE PROVIDE ME WITH A BASIC EXAMPLE..

Search the Security Forum.

If you are running kernel 2.3.x or below, search for ipchains. If you are running kernel 2.4.x, search for iptables.

You'll find lots of talk there.
