Ok heres the deal I wanted to get ready for my firewire card. I installed redhat 7.1 with kernel 2.4.2, then make xconfig then added firewire as modules, then complile and all the other stuff, i reboot and it freezes up?
My question is how come when i make xconfig, the options in there that were already chosen were wrong, i thought on a fresh install they made a config file for you, im sure that what the problem is I have to go thru every option, but why, and is there any way around this, because whenever i go thru all the options, it never works, i mean never.
