Larry,
First thing first. I cannot see you post in netscape in Linux (The page ends at the Lameness line). Mozilla in Linux and IE in windows show it fine. In my experiance that means there is some sort of table problem.
Now to the real question. I am kinda surprised you got the Lameness filter on that post. In my opinion it was a very good post, not lame at all. I remember my amazment the first time I realized the full repercusions of the internet. I would almost gaurantee that the ----'s did it for you. They are writing new rules into slashdot to try and cut down on trolls. One of these rules is you can only have a charater repeated so many times. Notice that is says "junk character post message" after the rejection.
First thing, sorry that you had to load a particular browser to see the link. However, I tried to duplicate the link as exact as I could so that I could learn what the problem was. I wanted to know.
Second. I guest I should have mentioned, that I suspected something simular to what Jeremy suggested. The first thing I did was removed the lines in my signature and tried to post. I didn't wee the rules that Jeremy mentioned was being written, but did this anyway. I got the same errot. Then I thought maybe they didn't like me advertizing my Web page in my signature, so I removed that. It still failed. Than I completely removed my signature and only had the text with my "--" Two dashess and my name. It still failed.
This is when I started to post a message with a link to the my comment, but couldn't find a place to post. So I read all the rules I could find about posting etc. I learned a lot, but fail to see why was lame or unacceptable about my post.
Thanks for the comment Jeremy. Maybe you can see something else, but the thing they you mentioned had been excluded while I was trying to pose. That wasn't the culprit.
By the way, I don't see any significant difference between the way the page looks in IE in Windows, and Netscape 4.7 in Linux.
