I have mandrake 8.0 install, so I want to know how can I setup the xmms to be my default media player, and how can I set it up to play audio cd from the cdrom.

how can I save to floppy disk a document that I type from staroffice, and how can I retrive a document I save to a floppy from staroffice.

You need to 'mount' the floppy first. In KDE right-click on the floppy icon. Then copy you staroffice files to /floppy or drag them to the 'floppy' icon. Then make sure you UNMOUNT the floppy before you remove it!!!
