Hey there. I'm fairly new to Linux but learning quickly. I'm having problems with compiling the Palm Emulator. But it may also be a gcc issue.

Trying to compile Emulator_Src_3.2 with gcc 2.95.3 on rh7.1 / intel.

Here's the hitch: my original distribution came with gcc 2.96, a version not even available at gnu.org. Palm acknowledges that 2.96 will incorrectly compile and the emulator will crash. That's true. So I backtracked to gcc 2.95.3 but now I'm getting compilation errors after make. Specifically, "Error 1".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I now tried to compile something else (imwheel for my Logitech scroll wheel) and getting the same errors:

make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

Am I having directory issues?

I've tried 'make' from both within the BuildUnix directory and separately out of the directory chain.
