Question

For reasons I need not go into,I run a dual-boot system of Win98fe and MDK 7.1.They share a 10.2GB hdd.
Well, its time to reinstall Win98 and I want to know if I can save the MBR (where Grub is located), so I can easily get back into MDK without a bunch of hacking.
I figure if I can save it,then after reinstalling windows,I can copy the saved MBR to the new one and be all set as before. I'm just guessing here,so if anyone knows a way to do this or if this is even possible,I'd really like to know.TIA

1)make a bootdisk for linux and reboot with it to make shure it works!!!
2)after you reinstall windows boot with linux bootdisk and as root do this in a terminal window
3a)cd /boot/grub
3b)chmod 770 install*
3c)./install*
4)grub is now reinstalled exactly as it was before.

I use install* because I haven't used grub for awhile and dont know if its install or install.sh.I do remember it not being able to run without the chmod.

Hope that helps
