Question RH7.1 linuxconf/chmod

all,
I have used RH6.2, 7 and now 7.1. Im am still a newbie by far but I know my way a little. Anyway, I cant find linuxconf in RH 7.1 or userconf. Im sure they are in there, do i need to go to a specific dir or do i need to install something special.

Also, i have a dual boot system with winME. I set my windoze partitions to /winc /wind /wine. i tried to use chmod and through gnome to change the permissions to write because only root can write, but it wont let me.

Thanks ahead of time.

Brian

I believe all you have to do is go to a shell prompt and enter ' su - ' and become root. Then enter ' linuxconf '. The file is in the /sbin directory.

Unhappy Don't ask me why?

Unfortunately linuxconf is not installed by default in RH7.1, you can install it from the second CD.
