Unhappy

Can someone please suggest a browser I could use besides netscape that supports Java as a plug-in, or has it bundled. I'm sick of feeling tied down by the spies at Netscape (AOL), but need to be able to game also. Thanks in advance.

There's opera (flashing ads at you)
There's good ol' lynx (text-based)
konqueror.

The games probably know more about you than netscape does.

I'll go to Opera when the price drops or when I want to

W I N C A S H N O W ! ! !

I'd rather demo a crippleware version than put up with the LAME advertising. What's next 1-900-PSY-CHIC???

I really can't spend more than five minutes before I shut it down in disgust.

Opera would get my vote too, although as already mentioned you get adverts.

I'm not too up on the Java stuff but I'm not sure if Opera support Java as a plug-in. Anyway you might want to read some documentation on the opera web site to verify. If Opera is not to your liking though I would second the recommendation for Mozilla.

Yeah... adverts are the downside of opera. Plug-ins are still not supported yet the last I heard. And I think they are working on it. But I may be outdated on my info. Best to check their site like ifred said

I'm pretty happy with opera though... I can ignore the flashing adverts up to this point.. Still waiting for plug-in support...

Thumbs up Opera

As far as i know opera supports java plugins...

and you can get a keygenerator for it to get rid of the
ad's: but if you do like the app and use it, then i would recommend supporting them and purchasing a key...
