I have a Dell P780 Monitor attached to a Dell GX100. I was able to install Red Hat Linux, and after a bit of work (due to my Intel i810 Chipset) was able to get X11 Server to run. However the only resultion to work is 640x480, and the monitor is capable of doing much better than that. What settings do I need to change so that I can take a look at different resolutions.

thanks.

Question

What type of Video card is installed or are you using? What version of RedHat are you using? If you know off hand, what version of XFree86 are you using? What happens when you try a different resolution in the Xconfigurator setup? Does it detect your video or monitor during the setup or do you do a custom setup?

Let us know!
