Question

While installing the SuSE Linux 7.1, I could not get the installation porgram configure my display setting and decided to do it later using SaX. But when I log in as root and execute the SaX command I get the follwing:

Sax:Searching card....done
SaX:using XF86_SVGA for configuration
SaX:if not correct set server manually using -s option
SaX:go up again within 8 seconds[ Ctrl-c to abort]
sax:...............

the the screen goes blank and I get this:

SaX:start new XF86_SVGA
sax: and error occured
sax:for more information please look at:
sax:~/StartLog and ~/ServerLog

any idea what this means, and how can I get the X windows working. I am new to Linux. Your help is appreciated very much.

thanks
