Greetings!

I am a rookie with this Linux stuff, So I appreciate the help in here.

I have two RH 6.2 boxes, one is a web server and the other is my desktop. I would like to be able to run xapplication on the server from my desktop. Can I do that???

On your computer running X, run xhost +[computername]. This will allow your current computer (which is your desktop computer) to allow X connections from that server (the one you have the X programs you want to run).

Make sure the DISPLAY varible is set for the computer running X (your desktop). The display varible is: "DISPLAY=mymachine.domainname.com:0".

Check out man xhost for more details.
