I am running X-windows. When I changed my video card, It doesnt boot into x-windows it automaticly goes into gnome. How do I get it back to normal? thanks

I got into x-windows by typing startx -- -bpp 16

What do you mean "back to normal"? Are you trying to get a particular window manager to load? You could use the Desktop Switcher that comes with Gnome. If you prefer to do things the command line way the file you want to edit is ".Xclient". So for example if you wanted to use KDE just make a file called .Xclient in your home directory with the contents

Just replace startkde with wmaker in the above example and you should be all set.
