Anyone know where I can get some good information on doing some dial-in access work to my Linux box. I am interested in setting up an FTP server at home and dialing into it from work. I know it can be done, however I cannot find any material that adequately describes how to set things up.

Thanks for any help.....

What you need is to setup a PPP server on you Linux box. That, along with a modem, will allow you to receive incoming calls.. just like an ISP.

Read this:
http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/PPP-HOWTO/index.html

Thanks for the help.
If I can get the modem to work, sounds like it should be relatively easy.

Which distro are you using, if it's redhat or similar (eg Mandrake) then this:
http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/ISP-Se...t-HOWTO-6.html

is another link that could help.
