Wink

Hi Folks,

I have been looking at the installation procedure for PHP4 and am confussed.

Basically, which method should I use? Should I install it as a Dynamic or Shared libary or install it as a CGI executable?

I have a default install of Apache 1.3.17 (from source) on RH7.1. I would only be using it to for my local intranet so preformance is not an issue.

Any comments or referals to a tutorial very welcome (I have read the HOWTO's and the stuff on the PHP site but am looking for something a bit more newbieized!)

Thanks in advance,

Mike

I would install it as an Apache DSO.

Hi Jeremy,

OK Thanks for that I'll give it a try. I found the PHP documentation a bit long winded for my level so I will know which bit applies now.

Best Wishes

Mike
